I’m a total sucker for romance. Honestly, I think that’s what drew me to shoot weddings. It’s hard to describe the feeling of living inside of someone’s fairytale in real time. You know that each detail was intentionally picked — from a single flower to the color of the table cloths set under the twinkle lights. When I see that couple’s vision come to life and I get to be the one to capture them at the center of it all… it’s sort of my favorite thing.
Some of my other favorite things? Sitting in a waterfront cafe in San Francisco, reading a good mystery novel and chatting with the birds. Being a romantic is also probably why I moved to California from London in adulthood. Was it the steep, colorful streets of San Francisco lined with painted Victorian houses, or maybe just the Napa wine? I don’t know, but I love it here.
