A photographer holding a camera in a field of dry grass at golden hour

Hello, I’m Odile.

I’m a total sucker for romance. Honestly, I think that’s what drew me to shoot weddings — it’s hard to describe the feeling of living inside of someone’s fairytale in real time.

I make the small details feel big.

I don’t just see the world in textures, colors, and light, but I feel them. I make the small details feel big, and the quiet moments feel noticed. I work seamlessly in the background, gathering all of the images that will piece together the story of your dream wedding.

Being a romantic is also probably why I moved to California from London in adulthood. My style is very much inspired by growing up in dreary London: classic, elegant, moody, and high end.

It doesn’t matter if it’s just the two of you eloping in the Redwood forest, or if you’re bringing 200 of your friends to celebrate until dawn — if you’re in California I want to photograph your love story.

Before

One conversation about the day and the people in it. If the place is new to me, I walk it beforehand at the hour you will be there.

The day

From the quiet of the morning until the dancing is underway, without directing what is already happening.

After

The film goes to the lab. I choose and print the strongest frames by hand, and the full set is delivered online.

Film, then a box of prints.

I make the photographs to be held as well as viewed. The printed selection arrives in a box; the remaining frames are yours online.
